Visitors at Uluwatu, Bali

Nikon D300 c. May 2009
I had thought and thought about it, and I have arrived at the conclusion that not all images can convey stories. That would be photojournalistic if there is a need to convey a story. But the thought persisted over the many months, haunting me and making it difficult for me to make the decision to take a shot. It was as if a story must come out of it, if there was such as story at all. I think that, there is no necessity to make a story out of every image but that the image is taken to show what I actually saw. There are other important concepts to think about, such as the patterns, the textures, the uniqueness of the locality, the colours, the perspectives and the colours.
