Old facade, Taiping

Nikon D300 c. December 2009
Old British architecture has got lots of texture. It appears that the Taiping municipality has this program to eradicate history through allowing old buildings to decay. That is my impression of things, from the felling of the big old trees, the changing of road names from English to Malay names and the destruction of old buildings, among other things. History cannot be changed but what is important is the good that came out of it; the evolution of a race that came out of it from the colonialism. Without it, we would still be uneducated farmers and fishermen.
