The Jauk mask, Bali

Nikon D100 Sigma 300mm c. 2007
I used a telephoto to capture the dark essence of the Jauk although the only light available were the floodlights. Fortunately, the image came out right with minimal blur. My friend, Shahrizal had commented on my skewness to dramatise through heavy usage of shadows unlike other photographers. I capture images just as they are but I need to capture them in the essence that they are supposed to depict. Like the Jauk for example. I have no intention to make it my signature but I admit the preponderance for the heavy shadows and that is my consistency in photography as opposed to the desired market requirement. Perhaps, one day, somebody make take notice and say that this is a good thing.
