Lake at Pulau Dayang Bunting, Langkawi

Nikon D4s c. May 2015
The place has changed a lot since the last time I was here. That was 35 years ago. At that time, there was no jetty to dock the boats and tourists would have to wade in the shallow sea to get to the island. There were not many tourists then and there was no platforms and life-jackets for swimmers. Nobody wanted to swim the last time. It was simply too deep. I did not notice the marble boulders then but now I do. It reminded me of the lava boulders in Bali. This island is probably a low dormant volcano that is now filled with fresh water. I am no geologist of course and perhaps I am wrong about my assumption.
